Marrakech Lady Biker Gangs

The Guardian just ran these photos by British photographer Hassan Hajjaj of these Marrakech lady biker gangs. SO COOL.

I gotta say though, in all my time in Morocco I never saw something like this... is he pulling our legs here? Either way, I LOVE the photos. They remind of Malick Sidibe's work from Mali in the 60s:
